About

I’m Jacque Collom, a creative introverted-extrovert and high school Theatre Arts teacher/director in Texas. I love iced coffee, curating my playlists on Spotify, and Mister Rogers quotes. I’m so excited that you stopped by today!

I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher…I even asked for a giant chalkboard for Christmas one year! I enjoy the connection with my students and the creative process of learning new things. It’s a marvelous journey that we take together every year, one that has its ups and downs, but is always worth it in the end.

I love sharing what works well in my classroom and what I struggle with, too!

I’m a multi-passionate educator, so there are tons of things that really interest me and keep my imagination engaged. I love using Canva, Procreate, and Google Slides/Docs/Sheets! These are some of the tools that I use a lot in my teacher tech toolbelt.

As a writer, I also like to explore ways to practice mindfulness and self-care in a busy workplace. It’s so tough!

When I’m not teaching, I love hanging out with my family. Zeth & Finley, my husband and toddler boy, are always trying to get me to go swimming, grab some Mexican food, or head out on another adventure! We love to travel, go see plays and musicals, and try new food.

Mostly, I’m just trying to be the main character in this one little life that I’m living.

“As human beings, our job in life is to help people realize how rare and valuable each one of us really is, that each of us has something that no one else has or ever will have, something inside that is unique to all time. It’s our job to encourage each other to discover that uniqueness and to provide ways of developing its expression.” -Mister Rogers
